The Scoreboard never lies

The scoreboard never lies... or does it?

In the realms of tennis, a match can be over in 2, 3 4 or 5 sets depending on the players and their respective gender.

While a match could be lost in straight sets it might appear that the defeated opponent did not put up a fight or was more passive than aggressive.

Alas, this is not often the case (though in some it might be) there is often a struggle to avoid breaking serve, being close to doing this to the opponent as well as some glimmers that they might indeed win.

A match is not defined by the numbers at the end of the day but rather stems from watching the match and noting the points where the player has come rather close to switching the momentum.
