Notice anything different about the site ladies and gents? Has the daily red changed shirts? Hair? Font?

Well, to let you in on a secret, it is none of the above. But it seems that the Daily Red has had growth hormones injected, and yes, grown a mo.

So, it’s neither like Ron Burgundy, nor like a sexy Frenchmen’s but it shall suffice.

You see, the Daily Red has a social conscience, so when months and days promote certain causes, I’d like this blog to recognise that, and acknowledge their importance.

So for the month of November, or, Movember the icon has a mo.

Do not worry though dear readers, just because the event goes for a month that I will be constantly reminding you or posting about the cause.

So let me go on for a bit here.

Movember encourages men to grown moustaches to raise money for increasing awareness in men’s health but particularly depression and prostate cancer.

Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, the Mo has become a fully fledged international trend, with international “Mo Bro’s” (those who grow a moustache for the month) signing up to the official website.

This is not a PR pushed post, far from it, personally I feel that this is a great cause for the Daily Red to get behind, after all, every little bit of promotion helps.
