Old News Now

It’s funny how Australian cycling moves on so quickly.

One minute, it was hot news to wonder and consider if the inclusion of Mark Renshaw would have made a (winning) difference to Matt Goss’ silver medal in the Men’s road world championships.

Though today it’s not so hot.

What’s hot is the possibility that, according to Goss himself, can win Gold at the London Olympics.

Unsurprisingly, the newly crowned World Champion, Mark Cavendish has put his two cents in, saying he also would like, and probably will, win Gold at his home Olympics.

Wonder what his odds are a year out?

Isn’t it funny how quickly the sport looks ahead? And that’s got to be a good thing too.
