The Obama Obligation

Not that it actually is.

Readers, remember when I told you that I’d keep you posted as news came to hand on Obama’s trip to the land down under? I wasn’t humouring you.

As the trip gets closer (only by a few days but a political student can start the countdown, right?) more information is coming out.

One that excites this redhead more than a National Redhead Festival in Europe does.

President Barack Obama has been invited to address a joint sitting of the Commonwealth Parliament (that is, House of Reps and Senate sitting together).

Two questions, where will everyone fit? And the public better bloody better invited!

Oh, and also, please say yes Mr Obama, return the Favour to Julia... okay, thanks.

In other news Obama was rumoured to be coming to the President’s Cup tournament but this has been shot down by both Australian and American journalists alike ( way to ruin his time off guys!) apparently this is due to the fact it would give a laidback image, of relaxing... seems to me they don’t want Obama to be Australianised (relaxing a little)... call ASIO I’ve got a conspiracy on my blogging hands!

Until November 16 and 17 more news of his trip will come out and I promise, with my heart on my Obama shirt, that I’ll keep you up to date on news of his trip... it’s become my Obama Obligation!
