A Baffling Choice at the Blue Moon

For some sports a decision drawn out like a farce is not irregular, though for cycling.... at least in the 2000’s is once in a blue moon.

A blue moon it is then for Australian cycling.

The omission of everyone’s favourite lead out man for both humility and talent (an odd combination, I know) from the World Championships to be held in Copenhagen

beginning on the 19th of September, for Renshaw to be a reserve (emergency) rider is more of a surprise than the look on Harry’s face when he watched Sally fake an orgasm in the middle of the cafe.

Rumour has it, politics played into it, while there are the reps that deny this, I ask you, when doesn’t some form of politics come into anything in our lives.

Apparently Matt White, the Australian Cyclones squad Selector has been riled up, burning a negative flame towards Renshaw since he decided to move with Rabo-Bank.

Seriously guys, if Renshaw, at his age, wants to win races he needed to go with a team already established and experienced, GreenEdge is great and all but it is still a new squad that will have to spend a few years developing its dynamic, there is no doubt about that.

You begin to realise there is perhaps some politics involved even when Renshaw himself was upset and baffled by the decision.

Shame Renshaw, I would have liked to have seen you race.
