Hot Food on a Cold Day

There are two things that you can do on a cold day; one snuggles in bed or two, eat warm food.

Yes, the calories can be a bit of a worry but really, what’s more appealing, hypothermia in the stomach or satisfaction when you cannot get it elsewhere?
I know I’d choose the latter.

Soup is said to be one of the more iconic things to eat on a cold day but I can’t get of sipping liquid from a bowl and that is meant to be nourishing, so for me soup is out of the equation.

Toasted raisin bread always does the trick as does homemade pizza, indulgent yes but who said they had to be an everyday occurrence?

It’s like a nutritional heater for the stomach, warming up the body and making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside without wasting two hours watching the latest romantic comedy.

Casserole and hot, homemade bread always does the trick as well.

So readers, as winter still hangs around what hot foods warm the belly?
