Food and love have a relationship indescribable to even the
most intellectual connoisseur.
So if you’re in a relationship, fine, go ahead and eat all
the oysters, salmon and the range of expensive beef wellington’s.
But if you’re single? You just eat 2 minute noodles,
chocolate and sing “All By Myself” after one too many reds.
Where the heck did this stereotype come from? Excuse me
society but not of all us singletons are Bridget Jones’s... we LIKE being
independent.
And in saying this, why can’t we spoil ourselves by eating
food traditionally for those in love.
I’m in love, with myself, thus, I should, and so many single
others should.
"Food for Love" is the first in a two part series, exploring the relationship between
food, love and the stereotypes that come between. Tomorrow in the second part,
the Daily Red has a romantic meal for one; Salmon and Risotto, so don’t miss
out!
