Cars for University

University is great- if you can get there.

What I mean by this is not having the marks to get in or living further away, rather about driving, now most of you by the time Uni hits have your license and the typical bomb of a car, one probably as old as you and heck it might not have a petrol light.

However in the past few years there has been an emergence of cheap and sexy cars aimed at females all around but would be a great buy for the university student.

Two cars that stand out are the Holden Barina Spark and Suzuki Alto.
The Barina Spark, you may have seen advertised is a ripper of a car with low fuel economy and pretty colours, thus, perfect for the ladies out there.  It is a small car, that seems easy enough to park plus it has all (or from what I know) bells and whistles of a 21st century car and the all important iPod connectivity.  It retails at 13.990.

It comes in a range of stylish colours, from a metallic lime green to white, there is a range that will suit any tastebuds of the colour spectrum. And this car was my first choice then came along the Suzuki Alto.

The Alto, to me looks less awkward and more like the small I’d like to be seen in. Plus the blue colour is simply stunning, and the best part? It’s cheaper than the Spark at 12,490...
Approximately a 1,500 saving! Plus the fuel economy is lower as well, using 4.7 litres per 100 kilometres.

In reviewing both of these cars it is hard to say which is better for you, as it depends on personal preference, but for me the Alto is the better choice, the fuel economy is great, the price is great plus the design is pretty rad as well.

So readers, the Alto or the Spark... sound off below!
