Absence makes the Heart (and Stomach) Grow Fonder, or does it?

It hits midnight, and you cannot hold off any longer, the urge from inside; oh it growls, louder and louder it increases... until you go to the fridge.

Am I the only one to have noticed that when you cannot eat something for however long, it is all the more tempting?  Where is the fun in that?

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder but did this person have an empty or full stomach when they said this?

There are days when the fridge looks more like an apple from the garden of Eden, so very tempting that even your tastebuds become the enemy, the devil on the shoulder, begging you to go out of your way to go buy the food that salivates you so, as a university student it happens rather frequently but money is tight, a much discussed them of this blog.

I have had moments when the pull for frozen yoghurt has become so bad that ice-cream could not even fill the hole.

And another time, having no meat in the fridge or freezer, wanting the taste of it in my mouth, to satisfy a few of my cravings has caused a lack of sleep.

So yes, I am a little crazy about food but why not? When I am not studying do I really want to squander precious though time on how long next door “pushed the bed to the wall, to and fro” so to speak?

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but what about the stomach, sure, it is more a tool than a metaphor like the heart but should be just as important considering you don’t have to be preggers to have an odd craving or two.

Going out without food makes you want it more, same goes for most things; sex, Glee, and a clean university dorm.

While the rule of temptation applies to all, nothing can beat that taste of a food you’ve coveted in a manic (or subtle, if that’s your style) fashion, nothing can beat that taste... well something can...
