Soufflé- eat your heart out!

In culinary terms there is the great, bad and Mc Donald’s which stands in for “the ugly”.

When we think of the great foods in society and in particular of desserts it is inevitable that the French soufflé will be mentioned in the discussion. While it is a recipe that has ruled the tastebuds and shaped how we see French food, there is competition to this dish. The lemon delicious.

An Aussie dish that is perhaps our try at a soufflé it is light and so much so that it feels like there is nothing on our tongues, but there is, for it is this recipe that gets the tastebuds into a frenzied manner.

Made using eggs, lemon zest and juice, flours and plenty of sugar it is baked in a pan surrounded by hot water that surely contributes to how moist the recipe is at its cooking end.

Baked for about 30 0dd minutes, it is a quick and simple recipe and enjoyable to cook, however this is not to say that it is not more fun to eat it.

Soufflé is great, it has that history and cultural appreciation going for it however while lemon delicious is a tad more humble and less appreciated as it were, it definitely rivals the French’s dish.

Soufflé eat your heart out, there is a new dish on the menu!
