P for a Perfect Idea

P platers are about as reckless as a one night stand or as sensible as Paris Hilton when she sees a small animal in the pet shop, namely a Chihuahua, but in all seriousness folks there comes a time when the messages from the TAC aren’t working and change seems as distant away as world peace.

I won’t go into too much detail for otherwise I’d border on being negative, something here at the Daily Red I try hard to avoid.

The P plating road toll is, for want of better word; appalling and for so long, other messages have been blocked at the wall of adolescent ignorance, so when I heard that a new program was being instigated, I was intrigued to say the least.

The “P drivers” program would enrol several thousand drivers aged from 17-22 from New South Wales and Victoria to begin with and if successful would be rolled out nation-wide.

So what is this program that I speak of?

By these drivers participating in surveys and classes that would allow officials to gain a better understanding of younger minds and driving  as a combustible, and often fatal combination, they will be rewarded by receiving gifts and the like such as iTunes vouchers, clothing and go into the running to win new cars.

The incentive to be a part of this program is great, but what is even better is a fresh approach to an age old problem. They, the authorities who have come up with this idea, should be very well applauded for simply trying something g new.
