As said in the past, I often feel that that Australian cinema tries too hard to be riveting and groundbreaking, so when it comes to Aussie comedy I have in the past liked to give it a go and generally, the results are on the positive side.
Two films coming out this month are Australian comedies and as a consequence, have caught my eye. The first is called Any Questions for Ben and circles around the concept of finding meaning in life which was spurred upon the protagonist Ben after being no questions about his life at his high school reunion.
The second film, A Few Best Men is a wedding centric, Hangover-Esque film that stars actresses such as Rebel Wilson and Olivia Newton John. The trailer, despite the critics dishing the film, looks comedic and overall light.
Like vegemite and cheese, I’ll give these two films a big Aussie fair go.
