The drinking culture is something that goes hand in hand with Australians; like the way we multi-task a sausage and drink, we both admit and deny this culture even handedly.
But what are the alternatives to drinking? For a university student this might seem completely outrageous to ever consider not drinking, for it really is the glue holding social groups together.
If you feel the need for crossing out the grog, there are a few alternatives when it comes to drinking.
Living in a dormitory that has the second largest reputation in terms of noise, drinking and partying it might be best to invest in some earplugs for the nights where others are fooling around outside and are as a loud as rats in a chicken shed.
A second thing to do is have a special non-alcoholic drink for yourself, inevitably, the desire to drink is nothing short of strong at times and having something individual and something that you treasure could very help you from touching the champers... or goon as it mainly is. Some ideas here could be non-alcoholic lemon lime bitters and cups of a favourite tea.
What suggestions do you have when it comes to finding alternatives for drinking?
