Spreading the Cheer

A day early never really hurt anyone- well, when it comes to the Christmas Festivities it might.

The German nationality celebrates on Christmas Eve ( it is their Christmas day) and there should be some substance to this idea.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the holidays but perhaps they should be a bit more spread out, have lunches and brunches, wine and dine with family and friends on the Christmas eve, and then on the big day spend it at home with the core family, eating lunch, having a siesta all the while lazing round the mound of toys that santa has brought.

Then on Boxing Day, hit the shops to get rid of the excess cash, or gift cards to buy that gift you’ve been eagerly eyeing for.

Spreading the cheer to all three days, well, that is not too bad an idea.
