A Bad Wrap

Gift wrapping is the one aspect of Christmas that both delights and challenges us all.

I love the wrapping, the ribbon and the glittering bows that look oh so classy rather but in reality, to emulate this means to be supreme about both gift giving and presenting them.

But in reality, and if you’re like the Daily Red, you’d know that wrapping is a turbulent thing with ups and down, inappropriately placed sticky tape and accidentally ripping off the adhesive from the bow.

It is a frustrating sport, more than mesmerising, it can tire you and make you scream, especially when you have got that gift that is too awkward to wrap here nor there, left or right.

Don’t get me wrong, the wrapping marathon that ensure for friends and family is epic, but after the first few wraps it becomes tedious, boring even and then the task goes from marathon to counting down the gifts.

However, when those presents are all finished, all wrapped there is a sense of pride, a sense of accomplishment, and hey, a sense of “this looks pretty damn good”.
