As, like many females, the collection of clothes stowed away in the closet and in the drawers is sheepishly hard to admit, similarly, the same goes for shoes, makeup an handbags.
Experts on the matter say that we should clean the closet every six months and chick out what we have not worn in the past six months because as the saying goes, us ladies will more than likely never wear them again (I beg to differ, because I personally have a habit of wearing clothes that I haven’t seen in a while, so to that extent, to the experts I am the exception to the rule).
But I digress.
They recommend that unless the items are wrecked beyond repair (ripped, stained etc.) give them to charity. Now, giving back does not only mean recycling or being or buying
Fair Trade tea or goodies from Oxfam but it also means giving your clothes to the charity bins scattered around the cities and country towns.
It’s a good feeling, because after all the times and the moments you might have had in that top or those shorts, they are now going to a cause, reincarnated for someone to have another piece of clothing.
Sure, it might be clothing but when it comes to charity, everything helps.
While I was walking around the University Campus, I barely noticed any bins around, last semester I saw two or three but where have they gone, I wonder?
I think that they need to come back, just because charity and donating should be easy forums to access, plus, it makes me feel better when I see them around, after all who doesn’t like the feeling of donating or someone else contributing?
