Another day, another bus trip.
What is my last bus home for the year I might as well reflect on what it has taught me, so
here we go.
1. -Patience! Some people say living with another teaches them patience and tolerance but not I! A seven hour or so bus trip seems to do just fine
2. Everyone is either quiet or loud, depends.
3. -Manners are incredibly important. While our parents tell us to watch our P’s and Q’s (what does Q stand for anyway?) hopping on and particularly off the bus requires patience but also to manoeuvre around like you are a piece of the tetris puzzle requires to be apologising in case you (more than likely) whack someone in the head with your backpack.
4. -Sleep! Never worry about people staring, they are probably a tad too busy wondering about themselves (it’s a proven theory).
5. - Wearing a skirt can work, but the bus is no fashion show. Yes, people can wear nice clothes but really? If I am on a bus for seven hours then that idea can go over the top of my head because, let’s be honest, who wants to squirm around tucking and turning the outfit around or fixing your bra?
6. - You don’t need a computer (or a man) to make you happy. The common perception is that when on a bus for such a long period, you nee to have a computer with you, and I admit that this is sometimes true but I’ve had times when I have my computer, fully charged and never touched it during the trip whether to write a post, or to watch a movie.
Happy bus travelling dear readers!
