Sixteen year old Adelaide boy Reece Mastin has won the second edition of Australia’s edition of reality show X Factor.
After standing strong as favourite to take the title for the past month now, Mastin has proved, mostly without flaw why he was given the honour of having the shortest odds.
After sensational performances ranging from Aerosmith to The Script, the diversity to hit the song out of the ballpark, placed him into the Grand Final against Victorian, Andrew Wishart.
With results of telephone and texted votes calculated to less than one per cent between the two, it was Mastin who came out on top.
Following a tear riddled victory; he performed his new (and first) single; Good Night to rapturous applause and an embracing family that derailed his sing along.
Whilst hugging family, Mastin did not sing, letting the recorded version play in his place, and in turn answering questions about lip syncing on the show.
So in one night, a winner with a unique talent won, but also, defied musical etiquette, revealing his lip syncing ways.
Good Night is now available on iTunes.
