Why is bad so good?

The song “Bad to the bone” was a hit in its time, but today infamy is just about as noted as fame itself.

People seem drawn as much to those who sing well as those who don’t.

We like seeing people squirm and dance uninhibited and act like they are a world away from ourselves.  But then we hate to be embarrassed.

Then, what is the deal? Why are we drawn to look up on YouTube “worst American Idol auditions ever”?

Does anyone have an idea?
