What a Rush!

Geoffrey Rush is what a Pavlova on Chrissie day is to Australian culture; iconic.
The man with a million faces and even more personality, that has acted in an array of roles that changes like a chameleon.

Today, Mr Rush was honoured by becoming the Victorian Australian of the Year for his contribution to film and entertainment industries.

And rightfully so.

I find Rush to be, well, a rush to watch, with each character he is new person, unrecognisable from the last (just watch Bran Nu Dae) so it’s impossible to say “hey I recognise that bloke from somewhere”.

Performing in film and on the theatre as well as protesting a few years back about Melbourne 2030 a plan to urbanise a heck of a lot more farm land etc. Etc.

So it seems that Geoffrey is a rubix cube of an actor if there ever was one, so many colours and dimensions, but never can the audience truly work out the formula to that charming appeal.
