Whether you like it or not, doping bans rarely last a lifetime.
And this is the case with Alejandro Valverde who will make a return to his former team MoviStar after being suspended for being involved in the Operation Puerto scandal.
During the suspension which came in 2010, Valverde has been keeping himself fit, with his trainer declaring that he now weighs less than he had at his last Tour de France, which can only suggest or at the very least, imply Valverde has interests to get back into the Grand Tours.
