Public speaking, to me at least is a thrill, a rush that tingles with intellectual rigour.
Public speaking is the closest that a non conforming uni student can get to an Orgasm, without getting their hands dirty that is.
So it makes me wonder, does that rush coming (no pun intended) with talking in front of a crowd, knowing that you have nailed the information as well as deliverance, still give you that feeling after doing for years and years?
In this case I imagine a politician, do they still love speaking or does their attraction to politics differ over time? But that’s another can of worms to be opened.
For someone who talks for a living, is it love all or love hate?
Does that feeling when you’re giving a speech to the people still exist after twenty years of tenure in parliament?
Sure, love and relationships are often unlikely to stand the test of time, but who’s to say that the orgasmic thrill one gets when doing a debate or public speaking can’t?
