GreenEdge are classed within the top 15 teams registered by the International Cycling Union (UCI), by evaluating the riders that have been signed to the squad for next year.
According the SBS’s Cycling Central website, this means that the squad will be invited rather
than blessed with a wildcard to enter tours and what not.
GreenEdge is one of four new teams to begin their riding next year, the others are; the Lotto Cycling Project, Omega Pharma Quickstep, and Radio-shack Nissan.
It is good news for the squad as they qualified on sporting ground which a) makes it easier for the team to get into race and b) means we have a pretty decent team on our hands!
