Occupy Wall St was the parent to the offspring protests that developed across the globe in response to protesting against corporate greed in a time where the economy is slowing and people are losing their jobs.
More locally readers, the Occupy movement in the city of Melbourne has garnered the most attention with a riot squad on Friday being called as the movement refused to leave their premises in the city square.
With a movement as integral as this, as well as fascinating for it transcends borders and time-zones, maybe listening and action should be taken, rather than it becoming a mere token.
Perhaps the protests in Melbourne on Friday should not be treated as rubbish, swept away to keep the city clean.
After all, if the government are believe this is the public interest, such attention drawn to the situation only helps the Occupy movement, Occupy the minds.
I also wonder, with news coming out that there again will be an eviction notice if the movement resumes camping but this time in the Treasury Gardens is that wise.
In America, the unemployment is much higher and the ramification much more severe than those of Australia however should the powers that be listen to these movements in Australia because, yes, like America executive salaries are still bloody high here too.
