Gilbert a King

Sure, Philippe Gilbert may have not have won the King of the Mountains, but the blazing Belgian is still a king of cycling overall.

Having won a combination of 16 races and stages throughout the season and also claiming the first yellow of Le Tour de France, the Belgian as a consequence won a trophy for being number one in the world cycling rankings (UCI).

With all this hot streakiness going on, Gilbert’s primetime is set to go in to the red and black colours of Team BMC and become a formidable teammate with Thor Hushovd and defending Tour de France champion and former teammate, Cadel Evans.

Congratulations goes out to Philippe Gilbert, and also will become an exciting season for Team BMC, and cycling in general.
