The forgotten sibling of drinking

The forgotten sibling of drinking is not drinking.

There comes a time in every young adult’s life when they turn 18 and thus, legally able to wipe several brain cells.

Sure, most of these people manage to drink before this age, but now they can even more drunk.

But do we forget that with this age comes the choice not to drink?

I thought not.

We are so whelmed by the coming of age and Champagne fountains that we presume that drinking is not a choice and that the rite of passage that it has become compulsory.

How bad is it really to go without a drink? Does t make you whine and cry? Is it the end of the world to have water instead of lager, or cola instead of Vodka?

Alcohol should not necessarily be banned, and we shouldn’t not drink though moderation is not something that goes hand in hand with a shot glass.

A person can have just as much fun drinking other stuff than if they did drink... but this time, on the contrary they remember what happened!

It is a choice to drink, and to what extent so when did the message of the choice not having to drink come into effect?

Readers, sound off below!
