Episode three Glee Cap

Proving that Glee has returned to its best, the third episode of the third season was no let down, rather, a showstopper.

Beginning with “Other Asian” Mike Chang is in panic mode after he receives an A-, otherwise known as an Asian F. Believing that he has to quit the Glee Club, Chang goes soul searching, trying to find the middle road between his parents Harvard expectations and his own ambition.

Meanwhile it does not get much better for Kurt whose previous campaign manager the daft but endearing Brittany leaves him to begin her own campaign, finds out that Rachel will also depart to endeavour towards gaining further accreditations on her transcript for her New York dream.

So with Kurt mightily pissed, he makes up with his lover-boy Blaine with what I can only describe as some truly spectacular coloured roses.

But the real story goes to Ms Mercedes Jones, who we see grow more in this episode than we have in the past two seasons, admits to herself that settling for second best will not be enough to fill her hunger.

Rightly so, she has had enough of the Rachel Berry show, and wants her own.

By the end of the show, this leads to a “new direction” Mercedes, and no, she isn’t going to make like the pink hair Quinn and go all skanky on us.

In only three episodes, the development of characters and not cameo of celebrities has amassed and what a joy it has been so far.

What did you think of last night’s episode of Glee?
