A Beautiful Australia

Too often we see the cities, the skyscrapers and lights as beautiful and from this the coast and the bush are seen as old and daggy, souvenirs from the seventies. But no longer! Today I went to the beach.

The simplicity of the water hitting the rocks, the sun coming through the leaves of the mangroves as well as there being no wind.

It just goes to show that there is beauty in simplicity, something today’s society oft seems to forget, rather than enjoying and revelling in this, the beach and getting back to nature, we assume that the glitz and glamour will make us happy. So what happened to our traditions, to the simplicity that made us once satisfied?

If anything the glitz and the glamour is the alcohol, intoxicating to the point that we aren’t aware we don’t really like it anymore.

So how do we get back to basics?

How do we again see the beautiful Australia, one that is not just about the capital cities, or the renown beaches, but one that is hidden and needs exploring from the wanderlust driven traveller.
