Seems that Australian film has its ups and its downs and right now its barking mad with a new phase.
I see a trend coming!
In the past year a few films have included animals as a part of the main themes of the film. You might recall the endearing Red Dog, or how about the just-to- be- released The Cup?
Yep, it seems that film in Australia has gone up Zoological street.
Not that that is a bad thing, sure the other films with mere people are there, but it’s refreshing to have a new approach to Aussie filmmaking, something lacking in the year bygone.
And another thing, why does Australian film try so goddamn hard all the time? It’s about time that movies such as Red Dog come in and lighten it up all little.
