For some, this is a relief, for others, utter devastation.
Yes that’s right ladies and gents, the season of grand final’s
for both AFL and NRL is upon us.
In the AFL we’ve got the Geelong Cats playing the Collingwood
Magpies, last year’s
premiership side after a dramatic (and terribly coincidental)
rematch after the first grand final ended in a draw.
Both teams will vie it out for overall honours, but the Daily
Red is rooting for the Pies to be victorious! The cats, well they can win some
other time.
And in the NRL, all Melbourne supporters will upset for the
Melbourne Storm being squeezed out of grand final contention by the New Zealand
Warriors, who will meet the Manly sea Eagles in the final.
My tip? Well, actually, my preference as I have no clue when
it comes to the mass of tackles and tries that is NRL are the Manly Sea Eagles,
just because, well, you know, they have a nice name and all (very female of me,
isn’t it?)
So rip out the moccasins, the VB and a pie because you’ve
got yourself two days of exciting finals, even if it is to c celebrate the end
of the season.
