One less Schleck to answer...

You win some, you lose some.

For Frank Schleck last year he was out of the tour with a broken collarbone after a dynamic third stage on the cobblestones. And this year, the other Schleck came third, to reach the podium with his brother Andy who placed second overall.

Having a great season this year, winning the right to wear the Luxembourgish colours as National Road Race champion... again as well as several podium finishes.
But it seems that Schleck and a crash are as bound together as Romeo and Juliet.

Halfway through the Elite Men’s Road World Cycling Championship Road Race (a mouthful, isn’t it?)  Weaving through the city of Copenhagen, Denmark Schleck crashed, with riders falling on top of him.

Schleck had to abandon the race after feeling pain in his right hand and upon x-ray has also sustained fluid around the ligaments.

According to his team; Leopard-Trek; the Luxembourger’s season is now ended for the year 2011.

Let’s hope he, and Andy (who is still racing, I believe) come back for the 2012 season for an injury free one.
