High Tea and the tingling of Taste buds

Everyone likes to feel a little pampered some like it hot, others through massage and pedicures, while me? I like a fancy high tea.

You know those great food moments that you happen to remember for as long as anything important? Yes, well the High Tea was welcomed with open arms.

As with any High Tea the setting is key, the hotel where it was held was decadent and opulent, making me feel a little higher than a university student for the noon!

When the high tea came you begin to realise that you are someone with a reputation when they rip out the Macarons, if champagne is the liquid of stature, then these delicious biscuits are the foodies version.

Among the deliciousness was cupcakes and slices, salmon sandwiches as well as the token cucumber sandwich.

One meringue cake like thing stole my heart though, with a fresh raspberry on top, and a cheese-cakey taste it has made my tastebuds crave it so!

So readers, on the weekend I shall attempt to emulate that cake, a blast to the past that makes the taste buds tingle.

Wish me luck!
