C'mon Australia, get pedalling!

While Europe has all the glitz and the glamour of cycling through the mountains and scenic Oceanside, Australia, though not to the same prestige, holds its own in the cycling stakes (or should I say, spokes?)

Next up for Australia is the Jayco Herald Sun Tour, somewhat obscure in terms of other races however with the inclusion of our future (and hopefully) golden boy, Richie Porte included, it is a big name and will surely have to bring a few more out to watch the race.

If I could, I would.

I recall watching the Herald Sun Tour once, and how do I know this? the banners were up everywhere, so it was not the cyclists I recalled, because at that age (12 or so) anything that moved quickly, also moved just as quick out of my mind.

It’s good fun, watching cycling and even though it’s not the best of the best it is good practice to photograph, to get used of the atmosphere (or try to).

Stages 4 and 5 of the Jayco Herald Sun Tour will be shown on SBS.
