Gillard calling the Kettle black

Apparently, the right to speak out, to protest is an American thing, something our Prime-Minister does not like.

Huh?

Since when was freedom of speech something we inherited from our American brother?
It’s fair enough that she does not like the placards such as “ditch the witch” and “Juliar” but the point of the matter is that they got her attention, didn’t they?

According to the first female Prime Minister a protest should be like a day at the footy, sitting happily and yelling passionately for the team, sitting next to a Collingwood supporter if you’re an Essendon fan and having a few nice words about the game. What era did she go to the football?

Last time I went, people yelled passionately, sure, but in expletives and I don’t know about nice words to the opponents fans.

Claiming that the protests are americanised may be true but just because they do not suit your interests Gillard, they are what they are.

Would she be saying the same thing about the pro-carbon tax rallies? I thought not.
