An indoor picnic is something like indoor cricket; it is not necessarily the same but does have a nice ring to it.
The atmosphere is warm, and there is the possibility of everything on tap and at you disposal is far better than being outdoors.
Despite the lack of new scenery eating indoors can also mean a larger variety of what can, and cannot be taken on a regular outdoor picnic.
