Season three, episode 11 of Glee has had its songs released. After watching the episode I can now put my finger on what hit my heart with a lashing of X factor (providing to be something special) or what pushed my buttons to be directed to cringe worthiness.
As many would have heard, a song was cut from the list at the last minute; ironically the cut song was one of the better songs on the set list. the song in question was the Jackson 5’s I want you back as by the Warblers.
However, the top song of the night was undoubtedly Smooth Criminal as sung by the devious Santana and Sebastian. With the use of the cello as the base for the actual music it intensified the tension in the song, eliciting a power struggle between the resident meanies.
In second place, Quinn’s Never Can Say Goodbye won me over. Initially the song starts in a way that would not usually draw me but by completion of the song, and as the rhythm picked up it remains one of the more played on my iPod.
Last but definitely not least Wanna Be Startin Something storms in largely due to the epic music video that came with it. The choreography and filmic techniques and homage to Jackson pushed this something from good to great, oh, and I loved Blaine’s sparkly blazer, tres chic.
What were your favourites of the night?
