Appeal Begins for Assange

After being confirmed for a part in the 500th episode of American show The Simpsons, Wiki-Leaks founder Julian Assange’s appeal to the highest court in Britain, has commenced.

After being denied the right for a warrant for Mr Assange’s extradition to Sweden has been overturned in previous and lower courts, Assange has appealed to the highest court in Britain.

The case commenced today (February 1) and is believed to come to a verdict in two to three days time.

If Mr Assange loses the appeal, all is not lost as he has the possible option to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.

However, if  Assange loses the case but chooses not to appeal further he will be extradited to Sweden within a reasonable amount of time to face questioning over alleged sexual misconduct of two women.
