A Gentleman's Game

After today’s antics it seems that there is a little bit of gentleman left in the game of cricket.

Today, the Australian test captain Michael Clarke scored 329 not out, and declared himself out of the running.

To declare in cricket means to retire without being counted as out in the tally.

The move was done by the captain to respect Aussie legends Mark Taylor and Don Bradman by not going over their tallies.

From my perception, I thought he would not declare, but as it turns out, I have some respect for the guy these days.

Congratulations Clarke on the high score.
