Putting up a tent is like a modern day pyramid; but instead of being whipped, we are being whacked by the poles that there is a seemingly inability to place into the keyholes in one go.
Tents are jolly good fun; they can become a home away from home, and become an escape that I gleefully rejoice in. People say that change is to good, but then they have not pitched tent in the backyard.
I find that a tent is surreal, it is stunning especially when you have the fly (a waterproof) cover off and the stars are glistening for all to see, it is as if the tent takes us back a step, closer to nature and unrestricted by the boundaries of a home built by walls.
I love the idea of putting a tent up, the whole process from start to finishing and furnishing is rife with accomplishment.
