The Spirit of the School Concert

There I was, sitting amongst the parents; seats bringing me back to my old primary school days, as well as artificial lighting surrounding the cute props. The Daily Red was at a school concert.

It was not as tedious as I thought, the kids were enjoying themselves and it was spirited rendition of top 40 songs and juvenile humour that had the parents gaggling at the sight of their children having their time to shine.

It is a school concert that sees all the parents smile and chat enthusiastically on whatever topic it may be, as chairs line up, the sense of community that comes with all the parents being together, is a feeling that exudes and at these events does not hide.
