Hiatus Hate

When a show goes on hiatus, it is dreadful for the withdrawal symptoms especially when it comes to that time of the week and the show is not on.

I often wonder why such successful shows go on hiatus, Glee comes to mind here, I recall that we were only three weeks into the third season and then bam there is a few weeks without the show! I understand that it is an effective way to lure viewers and keep them hanging on, but in earnest wouldn’t it pee people off way more?

The same applies to programmes that regularly do (Glee again) even though they were one week breaks it still deregulates and I wonder why it is done?
