Sour cream is delicious with chips and nachos, and yes, even pasta.
I never thought that the two could combine; while pasta is laden in cheese, the flavour of sour cream is chalkier, so how could this work when the two are basically chalk and cheese?
Alas, the combination did work, providing a balancing out element to the rich tomato flavour of the sauce, but did not detract from the cheesy goodness.
So who knew, while cream cheese as an odd combination in cupcake icing, sour cream is that to pasta.
