To curtsy or not to curtsy? another lambasting of our PM

As the Queen made her way to the warm sunshine of Canberra last night, it was not Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s dress that raised our manicured eyebrows but rather, her choice not to curtsy.

Who cares, really.

There is no harm in Gillard doing this, it is not as if she offended the Queen or was rude to her.

There are worse things to have done in this situation.

The best thing here would have been a simple nod of the head, or a curtsy.

I might have curtsied like the Governor General but Gillard knew what she was doing, and it was not improper so why should we lambast her when there are larger political
issues to consider in her governance?

After all how is a not doing the traditional thing a problem? Why should it be? After all, I can’t imagine our Queen holding a grudge on the matter.
