Cycling’s worst kept secret is no longer than with OFFICIAL confirmation that Mark Cavendish is reaching for the glittering stars of his career at British team, Team Sky.
Along with cheeky chav Cav, he takes Bernhard Eisel from soon to be defunct cycling squad HTC Highroad to a young Team Sky.
For the grand tours it will be intriguing to see whom gets team leadership considering
Bradley Wiggins, in his own right is a prominent and serious threat to the General Classification.
I mean, sure, they could go for both the Yellow and Green but how many times has that successfully happened? That’s right, longer than I can remember.
Seems that the charming Wiggins will play a support role and perhaps, lose the chance to kiss yellow on that final day in Paris.
But this is all theory and none of it could be right.
But the key thing here is that the Manx is out of the bag and ready to pounce for what will be an enthralling year in cycling for 2012.
