Good news is hard to come by these days amidst all that is seemingly negative.
Though today Australian Prime minister Julia Gillard announced that protectionist policies and especially tariffs (what an exporter from one country pays so that their product can sold in another country’s market) will be non-existent for developing nations.
This will obviously make it easier for products of developing nations to enter the country and given them a real chance in this country to begin developing an economy back home.
Ms Gillard urged other developed nations (cough, America, cough) to follow suit.
Not a half bad idea.
What do you think readers?
